Our Story
How The Dam Plumber Got Started
We've been in plumbing for about 15 years. Most of that was on the commercial side: running crews, supervising jobs, and holding the plumbing license. Build-outs and tenant improvements, restrooms, boilers, and sewer lines under parking lots.
Somewhere in there we decided we wanted to run jobs our own way: give people a price before the work starts, give them real options, and never put anybody on commission. That's the shop we built.
The Dam Plumber opened on February 26, 2024. The name comes from home. Boulder City is the town that built the Hoover Dam, and around here everything has the dam in it: the Best Dam Barbecue, the dam bookstore, and The Dam Plumber.
It's still a family shop. It's a small crew, and the person who answers the phone is one of the people who'll be at your house.
How We Work
We Show Up, Give You a Price, and Knock It Out
We give you the price first
You'll know exactly what it costs before we start. If the job goes south once we're in it, it's still the same price.
We give you options
Temporary fix, proper repair, dig it up, replace it. We'll tell you which ones are a good idea and which aren't, and what we'd do if it was our house. Then it's your call.
We don't upsell
Nobody here is paid on commission. Everybody's hourly, so we're not walking through your house nitpicking. We fix what you called about.
We treat you like family
We treat customers like family and treat your house like it's our own. We get in, get it done, and make sure you're happy with it before we leave.
Community
Part of Boulder City
We work with the Boulder City senior center: when members have a plumbing problem, the center calls us, and members get a discount on the work.
We're members of the Lions Club and do community service with them, and we've done community service with the Rotary. We also try to sponsor whatever's coming up in town, from Little Lambs daycare to the Best Dam Barbecue.
