The Short Version

The Dam Plumber runs 24/7 emergency plumbing service in Boulder City, Henderson, Las Vegas, North Las Vegas and northwest Arizona. Emergency Plumber Calls Come Straight to Us

When you call us at 2 a.m., you don't get an answering service or a call center. You get us. We've been in plumbing about 15 years, and we answer our own phone for every call, day or night.

The Dam Plumber is a family crew out of Boulder City. We treat your house like it's our own, and that doesn't change because it's the middle of the night.

We get calls in the middle of the night every week. Pipes don't care what time it is, and it doesn't matter if it's July or a cold snap in January. It gets hot, there's water leaks. It gets cold, there's water leaks.

Tell us what's going on and where you are, and we get on the road. We aim to be there within the hour.

What an Emergency Plumber Costs After Hours

We'd rather you hear this from us now than get surprised later. Our regular hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Outside of that, here's how it works:

No surprises on the bill

We tell you the after-hours rate on the phone before we roll. Once we're there and see the problem, you get the price for the job up front, and if it goes south on us, it's still the same price.

We're not going to walk through your house at 2 a.m. looking for more to sell you. Nobody here works on commission. We fix what's broken, you check that it's good to go, and everybody gets back to bed.

  • After-hours work is **time-and-a-half**
  • There's a **two-hour minimum**
  • **Materials** are extra

Emergency Plumbing Problems We Handle

If it's plumbing and it can't wait, call us. Here are some of the calls we get.

Burst and leaking pipes

A water line that let go in the wall, under the slab or out in the yard. We find it, stop it and fix it. See plumbing leak repair.

Sewer and drain backups

Sewage coming up in a tub, shower or floor drain usually means the main line is stopped up. We clear it and tell you if there's more going on. See clogged sewer lines.

Leaking water heaters

A tank dumping water into the garage or closet gets shut down, and we talk through repair or replacement. See water heaters.

Gas smells

If you smell gas, get everybody out of the house first and call the gas company. Once it's safe, we handle gas line repairs.

What to Do While the Emergency Plumber Is on the Way

A few minutes of the right moves can save you a lot of water damage. Here's the short version.

It's worth knowing where your main shut-off is before you ever need it. It's often in the garage, near a front hose bib, or at the meter box by the street. If you can't find it, or it won't budge, tell us when you call.

  • Shut off the main water valve to the house
  • Turn off the water heater if it's leaking (gas to pilot, or the breaker for electric)
  • Stop using sinks, toilets and the washer if drains are backing up
  • Move what you can out of the water's way
  • Keep kids and pets away from standing water near outlets or appliances
  • If you smell gas, leave the house and call the gas company
