The Short Version

The Dam Plumber works on boilers, circulator pumps and commercial hot water systems in Las Vegas, Henderson, Boulder City and northwest Arizona. We came out of commercial plumbing before we started The Dam Plumber, so bigger systems aren't new to us. You get an honest read on what's wrong and the price before we start.

Boiler Repair From a Crew That Knows Commercial Work

We came out of commercial plumbing, held the plumbing license for another company, then started our own shop in February 2024. So when a boiler or a building's hot water system goes down, we've seen it before.

Boilers aren't in every house out here, but they're in plenty of commercial buildings, and some homes run on them too. Either way, we'll come out, look at the whole system, and tell you what's actually wrong.

We don't walk the property looking for extra work. Nobody gets paid commission. Everybody's hourly. We fix what you called us about and tell you honestly about anything else we notice.

Circulator Pump Replacement and Hydronic Systems

The circulator pump is what keeps hot water moving through a boiler loop or a building's hot water lines. When it fails, the far end of the system goes cold even though the boiler is working fine.

A pump that's getting loud, running hot or not moving water is usually near the end. We've replaced commercial circulator pumps and can swap yours before it quits completely.

Sometimes the pump isn't the problem at all. A stuck valve, a leak that let the loop lose water, or air in the lines can look a lot like a bad pump. We check the whole loop before we tell you to buy anything, so you're not paying for a part you didn't need.

Commercial Boilers and Rooftop Hot Water Systems

A lot of commercial hot water out here sits on a roof in the sun, and the heat is hard on equipment. We've pulled rusted rooftop water heaters off commercial buildings and put new ones in their place.

If your building's system needs work, we'll lay out your options: repair what's there, replace one piece, or replace the unit. You'll get a straight answer on which one makes sense and the price for each. For the rest of the building, see our commercial plumbing page.

Boiler or water heater?

Some buildings run a boiler, some run large water heaters, and some run both. We work on both. If yours is a tank unit, our water heater page covers that work.

How a Boiler Service Call Works With Us

You call, and during business hours you'll usually talk to one of us. We come out, look at the boiler and the pumps, and explain what's going on without the jargon.

You get the price up front. If the job turns out harder than it looked, the price doesn't change. We fix it, you check that the heat and hot water are back, and that's it.

You'll also get options, not an ultimatum. A temporary fix to get you through, a repair, or a replacement. We'll tell you which ones are a good idea and which aren't, and you pick the one that fits your building and your budget.

Boiler out at night or on a weekend? We answer 24/7. Emergency service is billed at an after-hours rate we give you on the phone, and we'll tell you that before we head out. Leaks on the pipes around the boiler are covered on our leak repair page.
