The Short Version
The Dam Plumber repairs and replaces cracked, broken and rotted drain lines in homes and businesses across Boulder City, Henderson, Las Vegas and northwest Arizona. We find the bad section, lay out your options, and give you the price before we start. That price doesn't change if the job gets harder once the pipe is open.
Drain Repair Starts With Finding the Real Problem
A drain that clogs again a few weeks after it was cleaned usually isn't a clog problem. It's a pipe problem. A cracked line, a joint that pulled apart, a fitting that rotted through, or old cast iron that's rusted out on the bottom will keep catching whatever goes down it.
Left alone, a broken drain doesn't just clog. It leaks into the wall, the slab or the dirt under the house, and that's how a drain problem turns into a water damage problem.
We'll run a camera down the line so you can see what we see. If it turns out it's just a stoppage, that's drain cleaning, and we'll tell you so. We're not going to sell you a repair you don't need.
If the problem is out past the house in the main line to the street, that's a sewer repair, and we handle those too.

Drain Line Repair Options: You Pick
There's almost always more than one way to fix a drain. We'll walk you through them, tell you which ones are a good idea and which ones aren't, and tell you what we'd do if it was our house. Then it's your call.
Sometimes a temporary fix is the right answer for now, like when a house is about to be sold or a bigger project is coming later. We'll tell you straight that it's temporary, and we won't pretend it's a permanent repair.
Replacing every drain in the house isn't always the right call, and it shouldn't be if only one section is bad. We'll give you options that fit. Veterans get 15% off, and members of the Boulder City senior center get a discount too. See the coupons page for anything current.
- Spot repair: cut out just the bad section and tie in new pipe
- Replace a longer run when the rest of the line is on its way out
- Replace the whole drain line when that's what makes sense
- Add a cleanout so the next clog is easy to get to

Drain Repairs Under Slabs, in Walls and in Crawlspaces
Drain lines don't break in convenient places. We go where the pipe is.
Under the slab
Most homes out here sit on a slab, so a broken drain under the floor means cutting the concrete, digging down to the pipe and replacing it. We don't do pipe lining. We dig it up and put in new pipe, and we open up only what we have to.
Inside the walls
Leaking drains in a wall show up as stains, soft drywall or a smell that won't go away. We open the wall, replace the bad pipe and fittings, and make sure it drains before it gets closed back up.
Crawlspaces and older homes
Older homes often still have cast iron. Once it's cracked or rusted through, it gets cut out and replaced. If the cast iron is still sound but choked with scale, drain pipe descaling might buy it more years.

How a Drain Repair Job Works With Us
You call, and during business hours you'll usually get one of us. We come out, find the problem, and explain it in plain English.
Then you get the price up front. Once we open things up, sometimes the pipe looks worse than we hoped. If the job goes south on us, it's still the same price. Nobody here is paid on commission, so we're not going to walk your house looking for more to sell.
We do the work, clean up, and have you run the water and check that everything's draining before we leave. If a broken drain is backing up into the house after hours, we run 24/7 emergency service.
Every drain repair is covered by our workmanship warranty: one year in Nevada and two years in Arizona. We're licensed in Nevada (C-1 #0091779, bid limit $207,000) and in Arizona (ROC #365536).

Common Questions
Drain Repairs FAQs
Straight answers to what people ask us most about drain repairs.
How do I know if I need a drain repair or just a drain cleaning?
If the drain clogs again soon after it's cleaned, there's usually something wrong with the pipe itself. A camera inspection shows us, and you, which one it is.
Do I have to replace all my drains?
No. If only one section is bad, we can cut out that section and replace it. We'll give you options, from a spot repair to a full replacement, and tell you what we'd do if it was our house.
Will the price change once you open things up?
No. You get the price before we start. If the job gets harder once the pipe is open, it's still the same price.
Do you do pipe lining for drains?
No. We cut out the bad pipe and put in new pipe. That means digging or opening a wall, but you end up with new pipe.
Do you warranty drain repairs?
Yes. Workmanship is warrantied for one year in Nevada and two years in Arizona, per each state's rules.
