The Short Version
The Dam Plumber installs, swaps and repairs tankless water heaters in Boulder City, Henderson, Las Vegas and northwest Arizona. We'll give you an honest answer on whether tankless is a good fit for your house, and the price before we start. We handle the gas side ourselves, so one crew does the whole job.
Is a Tankless Water Heater Right for Your House?
Tankless is a good setup for a lot of homes. It heats water as you use it, so you're not keeping 40 or 50 gallons hot all day, and it takes up a lot less room than a tank. It's also a bigger job to put in, so it's not the right call for everybody.
We'll look at what you have and tell you straight. If a new tank water heater makes more sense for your budget, we'll say so. If tankless is the way to go, we'll tell you why. It's what we'd do if it was our house, and you make the call.
Nobody here is paid on commission. Everybody's hourly. So there's no reason for us to talk you into the more expensive option.
We're a family crew out of Boulder City, and we do tankless work all over Clark County and in Bullhead City, Kingman, Dolan Springs and Topock on the Arizona side.

Tankless Water Heater Installation and Swaps
Switching from a tank to tankless usually means more than hanging a new box on the wall. A gas tankless unit needs enough gas to run, so the gas line to it often has to be upsized. It needs to be vented right. And the water lines get moved to meet it.
We do gas line work ourselves, so you're not waiting on another company to come finish the job. If you already have a tankless unit and it's worn out, we'll swap it for a new one.
- Tank-to-tankless conversions
- Tankless-to-tankless replacements
- Gas line sizing and new gas piping to the unit
- Water line changes at the heater

Tankless Water Heater Repair
When a tankless unit acts up, it's not always a dead heater. Sometimes it's a part. Sometimes it's the water.
Our water out here is hard. That mineral scale builds up inside a tankless unit over time, and a unit that's never been flushed is one of the more common reasons they start acting up. We'll check that first before anybody talks about replacing it.
Hard water and your tankless unit
If scale keeps coming back, a water softener ahead of the heater can help. We sell and install them. We'll bring it up as an option, not a sales pitch.
Hot water that takes forever to reach the faucet
That's usually the distance between the heater and the fixture, not the heater itself. A hot water recirculation pump can fix it. See our water lines and main water systems page.

How a Tankless Water Heater Job Works With Us
You call. During business hours you'll usually get one of us. We come out, look at the setup, and explain what's going on in plain English.
Then you get the price up front. If we start the job and it turns out harder than it looked, the price is still the price. We finish up, you run the hot water and make sure you're happy, and we're on our way.
No hot water in the middle of the night? We answer the phone 24/7. Emergency service is billed at an after-hours rate we give you on the phone, and we'll tell you that before we head over. Every so often we run a deal on tankless installs, so check our coupons page too.

Common Questions
Tankless Water Heaters FAQs
Straight answers to what people ask us about tankless water heaters.
Is tankless worth it?
For some houses, yes. For others, a new tank is the smarter money. We'll look at your setup and tell you what we'd do if it was our house. You decide.
Do I need a bigger gas line for a tankless water heater?
Often, yes. Gas tankless units need more gas than a tank does. We check that on every install, and since we do gas line work ourselves, we can upsize it as part of the same job.
Can you repair my tankless unit instead of replacing it?
A lot of the time. Scale buildup from hard water and worn parts are common problems that don't mean a new heater. We'll tell you which it is.
Will the price change once you start?
No. You get an upfront price before we start, and if the job goes south on us, it's still the same price.
Do you warranty the work?
Yes. Workmanship is warrantied for one year in Nevada and two years in Arizona, per each state's rules.
