The Short Version

The Dam Plumber repairs broken, root-filled and collapsed sewer lines across Boulder City, Henderson, Las Vegas and northwest Arizona. We find the problem with a camera, give you your options and the price before we start, then dig down, cut out the bad pipe and put in new. We're a family crew, and we treat your house like it's our own.

Sewer Repair Starts With a Camera, Not a Shovel

Before anybody digs, we want to know exactly what's wrong and where. A sewer camera inspection shows us whether it's roots, a cracked or broken pipe, a joint that pulled apart, or a low spot where waste sits. It also tells us how deep and how far out the problem is.

A lot of what we find is old cast iron that's cracked or rotted, and roots that found their way into a joint. Roots go where the water is, and once they're in, they keep growing.

You get to see it too. That way you're not taking our word for it, and we only dig where we need to.

Sometimes the camera shows a line that's just packed up and the pipe itself is fine. Then it's a clogged sewer line, not a repair, and we'll tell you that.

How We Do Sewer Line Repair: Dig It Up and Replace It

We do sewer repair the old-fashioned way. We dig down to the pipe, cut out the bad section, and put in new pipe with proper couplings. We don't do trenchless repair, pipe lining or pipe bursting. When we're done, you've got new pipe in the ground, not a patch inside the old one.

Once the pipe is open, we look at what's on either side of the break. Sometimes it's worse than it looked from the camera. If the job goes south on us, you still pay the price we gave you before we started.

  • Spot repairs on a single broken section
  • Root-damaged and collapsed pipe cut out and replaced
  • Old cast iron replaced with new pipe
  • Sewer lines under garage and house slabs
  • Cleanouts added so the line is easy to get to later

Sewer Repair Options That Fit Your Budget

Every sewer job has more than one way to go. A spot repair on the one broken section. A longer run if the pipe on either side is on its way out too. The whole line from the house to the street if that's what it needs. We'll tell you which ones are a good idea and which ones aren't, and what we'd do if it was our house.

The biggest fix isn't always the right one for the house or the budget. We'd rather give you honest options and let you pick than push the biggest one. Veterans get 15% off, and Boulder City senior center members get a discount. Check the coupons page for anything current.

Nobody here works on commission. Everybody's hourly, so there's no reason for us to talk you into the biggest job on the list.

Who Shows Up for Your Sewer Repair

The Dam Plumber is a family crew that came out of commercial plumbing, so a trench through a garage slab doesn't rattle us.

We treat your house like it's our own. We dig only where we have to and clean up when we're done. Before we leave, you run the water and flush the toilets and make sure everything's good to go.

Sewer backing up into the house at night? We run 24/7 emergency service, and we answer the phone ourselves. If the trouble is in the drains inside the house, see drain repairs.

Every sewer repair is covered by our workmanship warranty: one year in Nevada and two years in Arizona. We're licensed in Nevada (C-1 #0091779, bid limit $207,000) and in Arizona (ROC #365536).

Common Questions

Sewer Repair FAQs

Straight answers to what people ask us most about sewer repair.

Do you do trenchless sewer repair?

No. We don't do trenchless repair, pipe lining or pipe bursting. We dig down to the pipe, cut out the bad section and put in new pipe.

Do I have to replace my whole sewer line?

Not always. If only one section is bad, a spot repair may be all you need. We'll show you on camera and give you options, from a spot repair to a full replacement.

Will the price go up once you start digging?

No. You get the price before we start. If the job gets harder once the pipe is open, it's still the same price.

Can you fix a sewer line under my slab or garage?

Yes. We cut the slab, dig down to the pipe and replace it. It's messy work, and we keep it as contained as we can.

Do you warranty sewer repairs?

Yes. Workmanship is warrantied for one year in Nevada and two years in Arizona, per each state's rules.
